“When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change”

About Me

I have always strived to be the best I can be in whatever I do.
This included my IT career. I loved my job, including all the travel around Europe and the US it involved…until I started my family!
My family means the world to me. Spending quality time with my children brings me so much joy and gratitude. I did not want to miss their special milestones or the connection and friendship and quality time. I wanted to get to know my children’s needs and shape them into who they will be in the future. This was more than something I wanted to do, it was something I had to do. It was my duty. Failure was not an option.
So I gave up my career and became a stay at home mum.
The feeling of being able to give my best to my children in a way that no one else could and watch them flourish was exhilarating.
But a new challenge presented itself.
We had grown to a family of 5 and shrunk from two incomes to one! I needed to contribute financially. I started looking for work but found every job I looked at involved travel.
Also I had time to think about what I really wanted out of life and whether a job would give it to me. Whilst it was great to be an employee, it had its limitations. I was always doing things to someone else’s time.
My time is my most precious commodity. I only have a finite amount of minutes, hours, months and years on earth to achieve the things I am here to do. And I can either live my limited time on planet Earth on my own terms or on my boss’s terms.
Deep down I was seeking freedom. I wanted to be free to do what I want to do. I dreaded the idea of having to ask for permission to spend time with my family or go on holiday.
I want to be free to make my own choices rather that be limited to the choices someone else has made for me about where and when I would work and how much I would earn.
Deep down I had a burning desire to be successful and achieve things beyond what a traditional job would give me.
Success means different things for different people. As a mother I wanted to be with my kids and be part of their childhood, and to share with them a gift that is sacred and that we are forced to forget in the “real world.”
With every generation there must be progress. My hardworking parents gave us the best they could with what they had. It was my turn to do the same for my children.

My Ceiling, Their Startpoint

Nelson Mandela says it perfectly: Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” For me that meant being in a position to choose the best type of education for my children without worrying about the cost. But I had no idea how.
I felt conflicted. I want to be the best mum I could be. I also wanted to achieve my goal to be successful. I still had so much in me. I had so much to give. I threw myself into so many activities to try to fill the void:the PTA, volunteering work, but I knew there was more. There had to be.
In fact I doubted I could be successful as a businesswoman and be a full-time mum at the same time. But deep down this was my heart’s desire and it was gnawing away at me.
At the same time I had a feeling of dread that my life was passing me by…am I just here to pay bills and die? Surely I have something valuable to offer the world? I was scared that I was disappearing into a chasm of emptiness and worthlessness and I would leave the planet without even making a dent. I dreaded the thought of living with sadness, frustration and regret that I didn’t even try.

When The Student Is Ready, The Teacher Appears

One day my secret prayers were answered. A friend showed me a way that I could build an income flexibly around my family and when I looked at the business model I decided to go for it!
I was unsure at first being completely new to business. I felt nervous and unsure I could do it. But my goals were too big! I knew that if I wanted things to be different I have to do something different.
I also had the challenge of building a business around a young family. I made a decision to make my children my reason to succeed not my excuse not to.
Thankfully with some training, support and a business blueprint I learned how to work in the pockets of time around naps, pre-school runs, playdates and afterschool activities to build my business, smash my goals and build the income I was looking for. With support, training and mentoring I got good at working in the pockets of time around naps, pre-school runs, playdates and afterschool activities to build my business.
Now that I’ve ticked off so many of my personal goals, my vision has expanded and my goals are even bigger than ever!
I love helping people achieve their goals. My vision is to empower 1000 families to be financially free. Free to make choices for their families without worrying about the cost. Free to be a blessing to others
